The highlights are the crater and the waterfalls which were formed by the most recent volcanic activity in the Kinki area. Hattan-no-taki waterfall, Kuroboku vegetable fields, and Jugo-no-wakimizu spring are also nice attractions. You can explore the area with a Geo-guide of Kannabe Highlands (Reservation required in advance). Kannabe Highlands cabbage chips are a pupular, easy to eat souvenirs.
You can enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, paragliding, and skiing.
