Walk around Takeda Castle ruins and Teramachi Street
竹田城跡登山と寺町通り周辺散策

Takeda Castle is an ancient mountain castle whose ruins still remain at the mountain's summit. It is surprisingly not well known that you can walk up and down this mountain. It takes about 1 hour from the foot of the mountain to the castle ruins at the top if you walk at a leisurely pace. Walk back down the mountain path after enjoying the panoramic scenery from the top of the castle tower whose remains are almost in the original condition. There are many things to do in town like walking around Teramachi Street or learning about the history of Takeda Castle at the museum.
